Lord of the Flies Project
This project was about William Golding's controversial book, Lord of the Flies, which was about his view on human nature. I had to create an artistic represention
To Kill A Mockingbird Project
The project was about Harper Lee's book, To Kill A Mockingbird, and how she felt about racism going on in her life. In order to keep her message alive, we were asked to write a play, adapting her story to modern day civil rights issues.
When the project was finished, I felt that an area I grew in was work ethic. What work ethic means is how you do a job that is given to you. People with good work ethic are the people who get a task and begin planning how it should be like in the end. They are the hard workers who start working the moment they are asked to. They are self-disciplined and put work before play. They take all work seriously and try their best to get it as perfect as they can. Work ethic varies on the person, and I feel that I have good work ethic.
The reason why I felt that I improved in my work ethic was because this project was done in a short period of time. Nobody had time to be lazy and slow down. People had to create costumes, scripts, and scenes. Everyone was liable for their part of the end product, and I was liable for preparing for my part of the play and role. When the day of the performance came, we had practiced then prepared for it. Everybody did what they had to do and tried their best to not mess up. I learned that I am still a bit of a procrastinator, but this was slightly fixed by how tight our schedule was. I know that my work ethic isn't the best, but it is good. I say this because I worked hard on the assignments before the play, but when it came to the reading packet, I didn't fill some of the chapter reviews accordingly. And when this project was over, I learned that by having a schedule like this, I'm able to work at a better pace. This is why I believe I grew in work ethic. When it comes to future projects, I believe I can apply my work ethic to those and get a better result. I can apply my work ethic by making schedules and focusing more on getting things done by due dates.
Another learning outcome I grew in was collaboration. Collaboration is talking to people to get a job done. It helps getting to know who a person is and what they can do. Collaboration can also clarify issues so the end product can turn out like they want it to. When it comes to this project, everybody collaborated, including me. I am an introverted person most of the time, and I prefer to not talk to people. So when we were writing our scenes, I talked to my classmates and was able to finish my scene. I learned that talking to people can help me finish work so it meet everyone's expectation, and I actually felt good when I did. Collaboration plays a big part in projects, and I can apply what I did in this project to my other projects and classes. This will help my team get a good end product and collaboration score. It will also allow us to know we're available for help when we need it.

Fahrenheit 451 Project
This project was about writing an opinion piece for TeenInk opinion editor John Smith about media control. We had to read Ray Bradbury's book, Fahrenheit 451, then fill out a reading packet. Then we have to come up with what form of media we have to write about and research it. Next, we wrote the article while tying it to Fahreheint 451 via quote analysis. When I finished this project, I felt that I grew in written communication. Written communication is the ability to express yourself to audiences in multiple genres and subjects. I believe I grew in this learning outcome is because I was able to learn about how to write better arguments and opinion pieces.
Another outcome I felt that I excelled in was content literacy. Content literacy is the understanding and application of subjects and techniques learned. This outcome improved me because I understood what I was doing and had to ask little to no questions.
