Free-Falling Presentation
Explain why you chose to answer the questions you chose when you presented. Support your choice by explaining and proving your understanding of the concepts involved in your presentation and how they relate to your presentation. This will be graded as Written Proficiency, so be sure to write a well-supported piece with full sentences and paragraph(s) using samples from your presentation and connecting them to the concepts.
When James and I decided to present, we chose the option that dealt with the connections between distance, velocity, and acceleration. We choose the first two problems for this project because these tied in with the presentation. The first was simply finding how long the bag would take to hit the ground from a 24 meter drop. There were no outside forces other than gravity. We found out that it would take the bag 2.4 seconds to hit ground because gravity gives a velocity of 10 meters per second. The distance it covered was greater than this. The second problem was the same as the first, however the bag already had an initial velocity of 14 meters per second. This initial velocity caused the bag to hit the ground at one second. We showed these findings with graphs that gave the general overview.
