Mubarak and Assad On Trial
During this project, I found the gathering of evidence and presenting the trial are the parts that made me “sweat” the most. I found gathering evidence hard since I was defense and all the evidence said that my client was mostly guilty of oh so many things. However, some of the weight was taken off when the guest speaker told us that the defense didn’t have to find a lot of evidence and that the burden was on the prosecutors mostly. When it came to the presentation, I knew that we weren’t exactly as prepared as we hoped, so I knew that there would be some issues that would be brought up.
The group I had to work with was diverse. I am generally a hard worker and on task throughout the project. I did my work and turned it in when it was done which was normally on time. Jessica and Christian were the same, but the latter was occasionally off-task.
When it came to our presentation, I can say that it wasn’t the greatest we could’ve done as a whole. We could’ve prepared more and should’ve been quicker in the gathering/exchanging of evidence so we could make a more suitable trial. However, we still managed to get through the project
I stretched myself in this project by trying to think of evidence/ways to show that my client was innocent while making sure we got enough evidence for a good enough trial.
The project fulfilled Oral Communication and Written Proficiency learning outcomes in my opinion because I had to speak to a "jury" to prove that my client wasn't guilty of what he was being charged. I had to prepare questions and responses for both clients so we can get our point across.

Animal Farm Propoganda
This project for World Studies was about the use of propaganda in the Russian Revolution. This project was supposed to show us how instead of promoting negative ideas/beliefs like in Russia/Germany and instead promote a positive change with propaganda. In order to help us understand our project more, we had to read Animal Farm. This book is about a farm where the animals had overthrown their abusive owners and ran it themselves. Everything goes along smoothly until their leaders, the pigs, start making laws and rules that affect everyone else except them so they can be the powerful ones. After reading, we had to choose a currently debated topic and make a poster on what we thought. My group chose the current debate on Gun Control. Gun Control was supposed to help reduce gun violence by making gun buyers go through a lengthy process before they can own a gun along with prohibiting certain types of guns. However, people felt that their second amendment, the right to bear arms, was being infringed on.
